  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs (at room temperature)
  • â…“ cup sour cream
  • 1 â…“ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • â…“ cup milk
  • 3 cups chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1 ½ tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch metal baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugars, and salt for the crumb topping; add melted butter until combined. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in sour cream.
  4. Sift together flour and baking powder; fold into the wet mixture along with milk until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the pan; layer with strawberries coated in flour and sugar. Top with the crumb mixture.
