  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 large red onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or almond flour
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 1/2 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, minced garlic, grated red onion, egg, breadcrumbs (or almond flour), chopped dill, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 14 evenly sized meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook meatballs for 7-8 minutes until browned on all sides and cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
  4. For the tzatziki sauce, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (drained), minced garlic, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Chill until serving.
  5. Serve warm meatballs topped with tzatziki sauce.
