  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup colorful chocolate candies (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray a 9-inch pie plate with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, then mix in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and egg until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and half of the candies. Transfer the dough into the prepared pie plate and smooth out with an offset spatula.
  6. Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  7. Press remaining candies onto the surface while still warm, then allow to cool before slicing.
