  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line three 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  4. Gradually stir in boiling water until the batter is smooth.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among prepared pans and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cakes in their pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
