Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 Red or Green Apples
  • 68 Lollipop or Popsicle Sticks
  • 3 Cups White Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 Cup Water
  • Red and Black Food Coloring (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Insert lollipop sticks into each apple.
  2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray it with oil.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and cinnamon oil over medium heat. Stir until boiling.
  4. Cook until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage). Test by dropping into cold water—if it hardens immediately, it's ready.
  5. If desired, divide the mixture and add food coloring to one half.
  6. Dip each apple into the hot candy mixture, allowing excess to drip off before placing on parchment-lined sheet.
  7. Cool completely before serving.
