  • Olive oil
  • 1 medium white onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 500g ground beef
  • Tomato puree
  • 80ml red apple vinegar
  • 500g tomato passata
  • 240ml beef stock
  • ½ bunch fresh basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 6 crusty white rolls
  • 100g butter
  • 30g parmesan for butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 200g mozzarella

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet; sauté diced onion until golden.
  2. Add minced garlic and ground beef, cooking until browned. Mix in tomato puree.
  3. Pour in red apple vinegar; let reduce slightly before adding tomato passata, beef stock, basil, oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 25 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Hollow out crusty rolls and brush inside and out with melted butter mixed with garlic paste and parsley.
  5. Cook spaghetti until al dente; drain and combine with the sauce.
  6. Fill each bread bowl generously with spaghetti mixture and top with shredded mozzarella.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until bread is crispy and cheese is melted.
