  • 6 beef sausages
  • 125g diced turkey bacon
  • 1 large white onion
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp plain flour
  • 480ml beef stock
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 400g baby potatoes

Instructions

  1. In a large frying pan, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Brown the beef sausages in the same pan. Slice into pieces once browned.
  3. Sauté diced onion and carrots until soft; add garlic and cook briefly.
  4. Stir in butter and flour to make a roux, then gradually add beef stock to avoid lumps.
  5. Mix in Worcestershire sauce, mustard, herbs, turkey bacon, and sausages; pour into a baking dish.
  6. Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F. Layer sliced potatoes over the filling, brush with melted butter, and season with salt.
  7. Bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncover and increase temperature to 200°C/400°F for another 20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
