  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons caramel syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted and cooled)
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 23 tablespoons caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, white sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter, buttermilk, mashed bananas, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined.
  4. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle two tablespoons of caramel sauce over it and gently swirl with a knife.
  5. Pour the remaining batter on top and bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow cooling in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Sprinkle sea salt on top and drizzle with more caramel sauce before serving.
