  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 large egg (for pumpkin layer)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (170°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil and lightly grease it.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and dark chocolate together until smooth. Remove from heat and mix in the granulated sugar.
  3. Add the whisked eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt; stir until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, egg for the pumpkin layer, vanilla extract, brown sugar, and spices until smooth.
  5. Pour half of the brownie mixture into the pan followed by the pumpkin mixture and dollop remaining brownie batter on top.
  6. Bake for about 50 minutes or until set. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
