  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into strips

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp crushed chili flakes
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • Cooking oil (vegetable or sesame)
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 cups water
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until it runs clear. Combine it with 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt in a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer until fluffy.
  2. In a wok over medium-high heat, add cooking oil and minced garlic; stir-fry briefly until fragrant.
  3. Add diced chicken breast to the wok and cook until golden brown.
  4. Mix in chopped onion and bell peppers; stir-fry quickly to keep vegetables crisp.
  5. Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, crushed chili flakes, and black pepper; toss to coat evenly.
  6. Serve immediately alongside fluffy rice.
