Scale
  • 1 cup Glutinous Rice Flour
  • 2 tbsp All Purpose Flour

  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • ½ cup Hot Water (or as needed)
  • Refined Oil (for deep frying)
  • ½ cup Caster Sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cinnamon sugar by mixing caster sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl; set aside.
  2. Combine glutinous rice flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, and butter in a mixing bowl. Gradually add hot water until you achieve a moist but not sticky dough.
  3. Knead the dough gently for about 5 minutes until smooth, then divide into small balls.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-low heat. Carefully fry the dough balls for about 3 to 5 minutes until golden brown on all sides.
  5. Remove the fried doughnuts with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels before rolling them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
