  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ancho chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon ground coriander
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 1 tub sour cream
  • 1 pack cotija cheese
  • 1 jar guacamole
  • 1 jar salsa
  • 1 jar pickled red onions
  • Chopped cilantro (for garnish)
  • Hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chop sirloin into bite-sized cubes and pat dry.
  2. In a bowl, mix spices with salt and brown sugar.
  3. Coat steak cubes with vegetable oil and toss in spice mixture.
  4. Let marinate for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Heat cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak for 3-5 minutes until browned.
  6. Serve on corn tortillas topped with your choice of garnishes.
