Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangos (peeled & diced)
  • 23 habanero peppers (stemmed & seeded)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and habaneros; cook until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
  2. Transfer the sautéed mixture to a blender along with the diced mangos, honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and enough water to achieve your desired consistency. Blend until smooth.
  3. Return the blended sauce to the saucepan and simmer on medium-low heat for 10–12 minutes while stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as needed before cooling completely and storing in airtight jars.
