  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 1 (15 oz) can corn, drained
  • 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15 oz) can chili beans in chili sauce
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (4 oz) can chopped green chiles
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the lean ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and sauté until softened (3–4 minutes). Stir in minced garlic for another minute.
  3. Pour in the broth and mix in corn, black beans, chili beans (with sauce), crushed tomatoes, and green chiles.
