  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small meatballs (about one inch in diameter) and set aside.
  3. Place the meatballs in a single layer at the bottom of the crockpot.
  4. Mix together the beef broth and French onion soup mix in a separate bowl, then pour over the meatballs.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top and cover until melted.
