  • 1 EL butter
  • 1.2 kg Hokkaido pumpkin
  • 1 kg starchy potatoes
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 200 ml milk
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • Freshly grated nutmeg (to taste)
  • 200 g grated cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200 °C (upper/lower heat) and grease a large baking dish with butter.
  2. Wash and slice the Hokkaido pumpkin and peeled potatoes into thin pieces. Layer them in the prepared baking dish, sprinkling lightly with salt.
  3. Finely chop the garlic and combine it in a mixing bowl with milk, cream, dried rosemary, grated nutmeg, 50 g of cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Pour the creamy mixture over the layered vegetables and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes until vegetables are tender and cheese is golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving hot.
