  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • 3 medium potatoes, peeled & cubed
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup milk (more if needed)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter (for gravy)
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk (for gravy)
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 810 medium shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 tsp olive oil (for shrimp)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Prepare the mashed potatoes: Boil peeled and cubed potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain, then mash with butter, milk, garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. 2. Cook the Cajun salmon: Pat salmon dry and coat with olive oil and Cajun seasoning. Pan-sear over medium heat for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through.
  3. 3. Make the pepper gravy: In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour until golden. Gradually add milk while whisking until thickened; season with crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  4. 4. Sauté shrimp and broccoli: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook broccoli until bright green, then add shrimp with paprika; cook until shrimp are pink.
  5. 5. Serve: Plate the salmon alongside creamy mashed potatoes topped with gravy and the vibrant shrimp-broccoli saut.
