  • 3 pieces turkey bacon, diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp yellow cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped chives

Instructions

  1. In a cast iron pan over medium heat, cook diced turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, melt butter and whisk in flour to form a roux; cook for about three minutes.
  3. Gradually add the beef broth while stirring; let it simmer for two minutes.
  4. Stir in the milk and simmer for another two minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low and mix in cream cheese and both cheeses until melted.
  6. Add mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and chives; stir well.
  7. Top with reserved turkey bacon and serve warm.
